At the awards ceremony held last week, the Pilot Club of Crystal River donated $200 to Music in Medicine. The donation will assist in the recruitment and training of more local musicians to provide therapeutic music bedside in Citrus County.

Earlier in the year, two board members from Music in Medicine had given a presentation to the Pilot Club. They explained how the music works to comfort and heal patients, and demonstrations of the music was provided.

Pilot Club – A Service Organization That Helps So Many 

The Pilot Club supports worthy charities and non-profits. Just a few of the great groups they assist include the Key Center, Day Star, Alzheimer’s Family Organization and the Sheriff’s Youth Ranch. At the awards ceremony, Pilot also gave scholarships to two high school seniors.
